H&C® InfusionTM
Reactive Concrete Stain will enhance new and existing concrete by
adding decorative and unique shading of colors. The variegated and
translucent color effects are a result of the unique formulation
of blended acidic metallic salts. H&C®
Infusion Reactive Concrete Stains becomes part of the concrete surface
due to a chemically reactive process and will wear only as the concrete
wears. Mixing different H&C®
Infusion Reactive Concrete Stains together will also achieve unique
colors. H&C® Infusion
Reactive Concrete Stains are available in 8 ready to use colors.
FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY!
H&C® Infusion Reactive
Concrete Stain is primarily used on bare horizontal concrete. Large
commercial applications such as, grocery stores, restaurants, retail
outlets and office buildings and residential homes, are the most
common areas of use.
You will need a: Pump-up garden sprayer (all plastic parts), Wet-Dry
Vac, Brown Masking Paper, Acid Brush, Mop Extension pole, Bucket,
Rubber Gloves, Blue Masking Tape, Protective Eyewear, Neutralizer,
Spiked Shoes, Rags
Important things to keep in mind
- Surface MUST be clean bare concrete, free from all paint,
sealers, curing compounds, bond breakers, grease and oil.
- Surface will NOT be uniform; H&C®
Infusion Reactive Concrete Stain will give a variegated, mottled
appearance, highlighting cracks and blemishes in the concrete.
- It is IMPERATIVE to do a small test before project installation
in an inconspicuous area. Due to the nature of all stains, the
final color may vary throughout the installation depending on
the age, texture, finishing techniques and other variables within
the concrete surface.
- H&C Infusion Reactive Stain is not a protective coating
and must be topcoated with appropriate sealers.
- Read all cautions and MSDS before any work is started.
Thinning
Product may be thinned using water. Thinning of this product will
affect the color of the stain.
- FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY! Protect surrounding areas
before staining. Rope off areas to be stained and keep all traffic
clear until the installation is complete. Wet floors can be slippery.
Wear suitable protective gear. Read all cautions and all MSDS.
H&C® Infusion Reactive
Concrete Stains are ready to use.
- Use nonmetallic equipment. An acid resistant pump sprayer is
ideal for application. H&C®
Infusion Reactive Concrete Stain will react with metals, therefore,
the use of brushes, brooms, sprayers and buckets that are nonmetallic
is recommended.
- ALWAYS do a small test in an inconspicuous area before
installation of the stain to insure approval and compatibility
of all products and desired color. Due to the nature of all stains,
the final color may vary throughout depending on the texture,
age and other variables within the concrete.
- Depending on the color desired, an application of two or more
coats of stain might be required. Allow H&C®
Infusion Reactive Concrete Stain to remain on the surface between
applications and after final application until the chemical reaction
is complete a minimum of 4 hours.
- Scrub H&C® Infusion
Reactive Concrete Stain into the concrete as soon as it is applied
to the concrete, keeping the brush in constant contact and motion
with the surface. Keep a wet edge and a uniformly saturated surface.
Gradually spread the stain until fizzing stops. DO NOT allow the
stain to puddle, splash, or drip on the floor or treated surface,
as darkening and discoloration from the rest of the floor or treated
surface will occur
- Remove H&C® Infusion
Reactive Concrete Stain residue by wet scrubbing with a neutralizing
cleaner, and then rinse the surface until the rinse water is clean.
All residues MUST be removed before any coating can be applied.
Use caution when handling the stain residue and water drainage.
Protect all adjacent foliage and soil from over-spray and runoff.
Use an acid resistant wet vacuum, and follow all governmental
regulations for disposal.
- H&C® Infusion Reactive
Concrete Stain will not hide cracks or other blemishes in the
concrete, and may accentuate imperfections within the concrete
finish.
Dry Time
Allow stain to sit on surface a minimum of 4 hours before removing
stain residue. Allow surface to dry 24 hours after the final rinsing
to remove the residue.
Sealer should be applied 24 hours after the acid residue has been
removed. Use 2 coats of H&C®
Infusion Solvent or Waterbased Sealer.
For interior floors add at least 2 coats of H&C®
Infusion Industrial Floor Finish for maximum protection.
