- Do Not Use on Previously Coated Surfaces
You'll need a stiff broom, nylon/polyester brush, a soft-woven roller cover with a 3/8" - 1/2" nap, a roller frame, soap, water and a paint tray.
You can also use an airless sprayer,* conventional sprayer or high-volume low-pressure sprayer for ease and quickness.
| Airless Sprayer |
Pressure: 1500 psi Tip: .011" - .013" |
| Conventional Sprayer |
Air Pressure: 30 - 50 psi Fluid Pressure: 15 - 20 psi Cap/Tip: 704/FX or equivalent |
| High-Volume Low Pressure Sprayer |
Cap/Needle: Titan #3 or equivalent |
*Make sure to back roll after airless spraying to work the product smoothly and evenly into the surface. This will decrease the possibility of puddles or runs on the surface and ensure a properly penetrated finish.
Weather Conditions
- Be sure to apply under dry conditions only. Do not apply if rain is expected within 24 hours following application.
- Air and surface temperature should be between 50º and 90ºF during application and for 24 hours following application. This will ensure proper product penetration.
Thinning
Applying
- No etching is required when using on a textured or broom finish.
- Before applying your coating, make sure you have followed the proper surface preparation methods for the surface you are coating.
- For horizontal applications, after surface prep, sweep the surface with a stiff broom to remove any remaining residue.
- For best results, do not overapply. Over application will cause a hazy or whitish final appearance.
- One coat is usually adequate, but for extremely porous surfaces apply a second coat within 2 to 4 hours of the first coat.
Cleaning
- Cleanup is easy-simply use soap and water after your project is complete.
:
- If your surface has corners or edges, coat those with your brush first to assure complete coverage of the sealer.
- Using a synthetic brush, pad, roller mop, squeegee or sprayer, apply one coat to the entire surface.
- On horizontal surfaces, remove puddles by working the product into the surface or wiping them up with a piece of cloth.
