Product Description

H&C® Concrete De-Greaser
H&C Concrete De-Greaser H&C® Concrete De-Greaser is a concentrated, heavy-duty cleaner that removes messy grease and oil stains so that H&C® Coatings can bond properly with the substrate. It removes most automotive fluids (oil, grease, brake fluid, transmission fluid, gear fluid and anti-freeze).

Where to Use

  • Patios and Walkways
  • Pool Decks
  • Concrete Driveways
  • Brick
  • Garage Floors
  • Block and Stucco Walls
  • Retaining Walls

Supplies Checklist
You'll need: H&C® De-Greaser, a stiff broom, and a garden hose with a pressure washer nozzle.

Important Things to Keep in Mind

Mixing

  • For light to moderately soiled surfaces, mix 1/2 gallon of H&C® De-Greaser to 1/2 gallon of water.
  • H&C® De-Greaser is most effective when diluted with water, however, for heavily soiled surfaces, use the product full strength-do not thin.
Applying
  • For horizontal applications, after surface prep, sweep the surface with a stiff broom to remove any remaining residue.
  • Scrape off any excess grease or oil.
  • Apply H&C® De-Greaser on 10'x10' sections at a time.

Application Methods

  • Thoroughly saturate your surface with H&C® De-Greaser.
  • Using a stiff broom, agitate the entire surface to make sure the H&C® De-Greaser removes all the stains.
  • Let the solution sit for 5-6 minutes.
  • Using a garden hose with a pressure washer nozzle, rinse the surface thoroughly with clean water so that no cleaning mixture remains, and scrub the surface while rinsing to remove any loosened material.
  • Once the surface is dry, test any trouble spots (glossy- or oily-looking areas) by applying a few drops of water. If the water does not penetrate quickly, repeat the application on those spots.
  • Allow the surface to dry for at least 24 hours before apply your coating, or 2-4 hours before etching.
  • Before applying your coating, make sure the surface is clean by sweeping it with a clean, stiff broom to remove any remaining residue.
